    Ace is our good boy goldendoodle. We got him on a whim—so much for telling the kids that we will play with puppies but will absolutely not get one. He loves resting his head on laps, chasing lizards and sticks, and going with the flow.

    Talk about a crazy dog. He is the complete opposite of Ace—always has been. Zed is a bernedoodle, and he is rambunctious. Zed loves food, chewing on everything, running around the backyard, and terrorizing Ace and Unit.

    Unit is our old lady. Her favorite spot to snooze during the day is on my desk, right behind my laptop. She used to be a grump, but now she is quite the family cat and likes to check on the kids with me at night.
